I explored a little today and most of this area colored red was less than 2 ft deep. Also hit something submerged in near red X. Sorry for low quality info but just general caution in that area is advised!

Great point on bottom snags, not as many as I would expect! Probably only once or twice all morning from what I recall so you’re probably right that I wasn’t getting it to the bottom like I thought

Well kinda glad to hear we were just late to the party and perhaps it wasn’t just my poor presentation! Unfortunately that’s the earliest we could get out there that day.

As for lures, on the rocks we tried matrix shad on 3/8 jig, drop shot also with matrix shad, and I tried a shiny new shadow rap 11 which I’ll admit had me wondering whether I was fishing it correctly- zero previous experience with sinking jerk baits! I was letting it sink for 20-30 sec after casting but no clue how deep that got to.

Anyway most bites were had jigging the bottom along the rocks. Later a few bites were had on marker 54 under popping cork when we drifted the flats. Just nothing consistent or with any size.

Yea there were about 15 boats on the flats near the wall and then we probably passed another 15-20 boats spaced along the rocks for a mile or two
