Hey folks, Peter Truxillo, New Orleans native. 22 foot Blackjack kept in Shell Beach. Newly retired try to fish weekly. Fish south of Shell Beach Christmas Camp Area, Lake Elli and exploring southern east side of Bayou LaLoutre. Also fish Lake Borgne shorelines and community fishing spots and the North end of MRGo areas.

Question, I am in the progress of completing courses. Question. I like Navionics. I create a route thru the bayous and marsh. If I look at GED the route is thru existing and historical bayous and open water. No indication of shallow water per GED yet Navionics warns the entire route is “shallow water”. Is there a 3rd party product I should use or anything else so I can travel confidently thru the route? Am I to idle the whole route? I wanter cover water but don’t feel confident hauling ass thru the route. Any advice? Am I missing something? I need 18 or so inches on plane
