Close to home and something I can do in a couple hours. Might be a good opportunity to focus on the sonar a bit more to improve my understanding. Appreciate the intel.

I rig it the same way as you and same hook. I’ve known folks to thread the hook up the tail on a live shrimp as well, but I never tried that technique.

I don’t use live bait. Don’t you know artificial is better. 😂.
I rig my live shrimp through the head just have to avoid the black spot so you don’t kill them.

Thanks for the report. I have found much cleaner water on the short rocks lately. Those coyote pups are pretty cool to see out there.

Last spring and summer these spots produced. Better on a falling tide but caught limits on a rising tide as well. Start at spot 1 and work that shoreline to spot 2. Normally I could repeat that and catch a limit. Spot 3 is good and the reds are normally 15 yards off the bank. “Tall grass” can’t miss it when you enter the canal. Reds aren’t call on either end of the grass, but work the middle too. Last spot in lost lake is good when the water is low but productive on higher tides as well. No shame, but live shrimp produced better than anything else. I’m itching to get out there too. Good luck.

It makes life a lot easier. For instance, I was able to type that report in one paragraph and then asked it to format for a fishing forum. You can apply that same logic for different types of reports, graphs and even PowerPoint presentations. It’s a good tool, but definitely verify the data if using for work.

We could have caught our limit at the short rocks. Actually threw back 5 or so keepers. My buddy wanted redfish so we switched plans. You are right, probably should have spent some time on the north side working points and coves.

I dropped it in ChatGPT so it separates the conditions out and formats it easier. I won’t going forward if it causes issues.
