Awesome advice! Thank you for sharing! Question: I assume you use a mono backer for the braid? Also I just bought the Yo-Zuri 30lb Blue from academy the other day. I didn’t know about the 4-strand vs 8 strand. I just looked up the specs and it says 10-40 is 4 strands and 50-80 is 8 strands. Just a fyi… I may bring this one back and see what else they have…

You get some stuff figured out? I figured out how to save on the SD card and upload to GED. I want to say I didn’t even have to translate but not sure if I did or not. But if not, I also use the converter @keithl uses. I thought my waypoints weren’t showing up, but I found this other little slider on the time slider that needed to be adjusted back in time (see attached). Before I found my mistake, I started playing around with the Active Capt. app and it allowed me to download WPs and tracks from my iPhone. I then emailed that to my pc. There may be an easier way but I’m not too savvy with this tech stuff. Hope this helps… feel free to holla if need to…

Figured out how to transfer to GED. I’m trying to figure out how to edit next.

Thanks again! I was probably going to spool my HDS reel with that today. Good timing!

Just have to maintain now.

That’s what I was thinking. I deleted a bunch of stuff on GED and kept what I wanted under “Garmin”. So I believe now I can delete all WPs and tracks in Garmin and reload with card. I was able to clean up GED while I was at it which is a good thing. Best way to clean house… throw everything away and start clean!!

I found this also…. From Active Capt app. I haven’t tried it yet but should work I hope

From Garmin: Manage User Data>Tracks> Save to card>Create New File> Give file simple name. Remove card and insert to laptop. Open GED. Select file (Top left in GED). >Select import> select your file you saved from card. Should come up.
I’m going to play with it some more later. I only had tracks show up. No waypoints. I have to go back and make sure to transfer those to card and try again. The other thing I was trying to figure out was the Venice track I posted. It looks like it is saved as one track but there is actually a short track from the previous afternoon. And then the Time Vampire showed up…
