+1 You Tube is your friend! I do agree if someone has the right tool that would be the route. I usually research You Tube first and figure out if I can do it which I’m sure I can clean a carb. The only problem I had was on a carb that sat up for a while. It took a little longer to clean. I think someone said soak overnight or longer in Sea Foam. Also if its bad a little heat helps (heated parts washer). My problem is patience. If shop can’t give it back by Friday I’ll do it! lol We fishing Saturday!!

+1… I was gonna say this sounds like Devin’s report minus the Sea Turtle lol. I imagine with all the bait and clean water its’ a matter of finding that needle. Thanks for the report!

I took that route 2 maybe 3 times so we’re good there. I plan on going straight out of SW Pass so that’s pretty straight forward. I’ll post a route if unsure of though. Thank you for the tips!

Trying to wrap my head around this and I’m assuming this is because the SW Pass sticks out further into the GOA… I haven’t thought of that. Will plan from there and work my way east…
As far as needing rescue, I’m using this planning post as a float plan. If I don’t post a fishing report by Monday come look for me. I kid I kid lol… I have a Sea Tow membership and a VHF radio. I plan on getting a Garmin Inreach but haven’t yet.

I thought about that, but with the crew and our time limit, I didn’t think I could be successful. I feel like I failed again not putting the guest on the fish smh… I’ll try to use this as a tough lesson learned and remember to have a plan redfish. Especially when playing charter captain…
