Capt. Devin, I respect you to the fullest and I want to make you proud lol… but I have this Friday off, and I was thinking of something closer to home. I have a buddy coming who doesn’t get out much and less drive time equals more TOW. My thoughts were Delacroix, Oak River or Yellow Cotton Bay. Two of three will be the first-time fishing, with Delacroix fishing only once in April when conditions were poor. So…. if you were me…?? I appreciate any input… I will try to keep Fourchon in mind for another trip. It’s closer and looks interesting. Catfish Bay also looks interesting now that I look at it… Damn!

Awesome advice! Thank you for sharing! Question: I assume you use a mono backer for the braid? Also I just bought the Yo-Zuri 30lb Blue from academy the other day. I didn’t know about the 4-strand vs 8 strand. I just looked up the specs and it says 10-40 is 4 strands and 50-80 is 8 strands. Just a fyi… I may bring this one back and see what else they have…

Yeah I meant to tell you that you did an impressive pre-plan map! Made me go back and do a 101 rehearsal for real! lol… Thanks for the input! Sunrise is approximately 6:54 so I guess I’m shooting to be there around 6:30. What do you think? I noticed on GED it appears that there’s no store in the vicinity of the launch. I’ll be sure to be fueled up beforehand. Also how much is it to launch? I can’t remember if Capt. Devin said if it was free or not.
