If you guys are hitting the south side of the rock wall, I was heading down to the long rocks last weekend and couldn’t get there because it got too rough. Stopped in this little manmade dead end canal and it was loaded with bulls hitting the top water. We thought they were gars until I pulled one up jigging with a green matrix shad. I only pulled up two, I don’t know why we didn’t get more.

No, I didn’t. I tried to today but the winds were s high I just went back to the north side of there rock wall to find some shelter from the wind

Sounds like there was better action south of the rock wall. Good to hear

Thanks for the tip. I may do that south of the rock wall

Thanks for the heads up. I’m going to launch out of Pinto’s tomorrow because I want to hit that end of the Mr. Go. I got very little tide movement thought, so I might be fighting an uphill battle

Great report, thanks. I use only Penn Battle 3’s and they’re great and reasonably priced. I like the Duckett Saltwater series poles, mid action. I like the versatility, I can catch 6 inch trout or 44″ bulls.

Awesome day, you earned it. Thanks for the report. I’m heading out Saturday and I just told my buddy an hour ago that I felt best about the Mr. Go right now along the rocks. The water is always so low this time of year that I hate worrying about getting stuck somewhere.

I’m looking forward to your book, I think it will do great. There’s a real need and a market for what you’re doing, you’ll work out the details I’m sure

Thanks for the report. It confirms the consensus, Saturday was a grind.

Great report, thanks for posting as always. Some days are ball busters.
I used to fish PS regularly years ago. I quit because of the plant traffic, Hopedale and Delacroix are just easier to get to

I’m glad you asked because I had the same questions. Since it’s warming up I’m thinking the pattern from last weekend will change a little. I like the south of the rock wall idea because last weekend the reds were stacked up on the north side, and were probably on the south side too, but on the south side you have a lot more options right off the Mr. Go, which is good because the water will be crazy low.
I just hate having to launch out of Hopedale instead of Campos because they don’t have a fish cleaning station right now. I may launch Campos and just make the run.

Only that we caught them along the rock wall in the Mr. Go. Water was clear and they were right up along the rocks. Had no luck out on the marsh, I don’t know how everyone else was doing out there

much better, thanks. I did like you said and as soon as I felt bottom I pulled up a little and bounced it. Funny thing was that when I caught my first red of the day at 2pm I assumed I was snagged because I had cast right up against the rocks and tried to yank it out. Plus, I had forgotten what a bite felt like 😂

No, I sure didn’t now that I think about it

Had a tough day. Was heading in at 2pm without even had a bite, but stopped on the rocks in the Mr. Go and put 4 22″ reds in the cooler. Last minute save!
