When I first started commercially shrimping (1972-2005)… .Lake Pontchartrain sturgeon were fairly commonly caught in our trawls…largest I ever caught in trawl and release was about 6 feet. VERY PRE-HISTORIC LOOKING w/mouth under its head on belly-side more scaling and broader/wider than a garfish! ALWAYS released alive…

I am having the same issue of low voltage: very hard to start/Humminbird GPS kept showing “Low Voltage”! SOLUTION, I am having a 5th battery added (3 Deep Cycle Group) for troll motor, original Start Battery and now another Deep Cycle (Group 27 for exclusively ALL accessories (2-GPS’s, Dual-Yamaha gauge system, bilge pump, Jack Plate, Trim tabs, VHF radio, running lights, etc…! Learned that after having a new Yamaha Fuel Management Gauge recently added, THAT resulted in TOO much voltage pulling off the single start battery—additionally, changed the “OFF/ON” Perko switch to Perko switch “1/2/BOTH/OFF”

    Hope this helps…
