I would make something. Put a valve on it so you can drain it. Especially if you’re not finding one cheap. I’d imagine they will charge a fortune cause it’s boat related. I see ads for that flush master timer deal and see it as something to sell rich people lol

You know I thought the same thing about that place Devin. Like great location and but there isn’t much space for a boat to maneuver once in the water. Or tie up. It’s still better than it used to be. And better than waiting to launch at south shore.

**edit** if you got a 30’ deep draft boat, this launch isn’t for you. It’s maybe 3’ in the tie up areas. Power poles stop at a 90° so is shallow.

You saw that old military boat? I think that isn’t staying there and that will be used for additional tie up space but I could be wrong. (If it were my place I’d move all the boats by the ice machine and make that open dock space, I understand why that isn’t happening though).

They are building a second launch that’s what all that construction is. Owner said they left that flat bed truck almost blocking the launch. One thing I hate at all these launches is the gravel muddy parking lots. Probably less of an issue on a carpeted boat, but it makes it impossible to keep your non skid decks clean

The owner seems like a nice guy. When I’ve brought kids and bought shrimp he hooked it up. Since they are catching them via wing nets, it doesn’t cost them like it does the marinas that have to buy them from a shrimper.

I know one thing coming back into that place on a falling tide shows just how hard the current is ripping out of chef pass.

Anyways, hope yall had a good one

But theres gotta be more big fish being caught… i suck at fishing and ive gotten a few 20″+ fish this year

@Devin That tackle selection is golden. If I’m throwing a cork it’s with a 1/16oz death grip and a matrix shad. Only exception is if I use a marker 54 shrimp, but that is rare. I don’t find the shrimp work as well if you reeling. Like the matrix shad still swims under the cork when reeling in. And with the death grip heads, you can catch so many fish that the plastics will fall apart before you have to replace them.

If you don’t have any, try four horsemen’s pro series corks. They are as good as the original, but use a bendable wire. Similar to the wire in the versamax corks. The only thing I wish they put on them was the clear protective wrap on the cork it’s self.

No, I should, but I have a nice Frabill* net that folds up but also is big enough to land bull reds. Next net I’ll do something with rubber

Thanks. Yeah he loves the outdoors and fishing almost too much. It’s great to have your kids outdoors, until it’s January, 40° and raining and your 18 month old is in the back yard in his diaper… and refuses to come inside haha. But I guess that’s better than refusing to come outside at all.

I do the same stuff with my step kids, but they aren’t AS into as he is. They come with me, but sometimes I think they do just for the hot breakfast and the sunrise. After 1-2 stops of not catching (or catching) they are ready to go in. I’ll take what I can get from them.
