“I pulled out of the launch at 6:50. At this point I didn’t see a soul besides the clerk.”

    Best feeling ever!!

Awesome trip Josh. Your risk/reward of going paid off big time. A limit in your second ever trip to Delacroix is great stuff.

Getting the Venice bug in March….

All I can say is “YES”

Looking forward to hearing about what you find down there

“I was also rocking a double or triple decker of Tucker Carlson’s 3mg Alp pouch at any given time. That has to make a difference, right?”

It 100% does and I won’t be convinced otherwise

“But equally mystifying is the lack of redfish in that exact same body of water. It should be loaded with redfish a la Stairs Theory but it’s not. Who knows?”

I saw some tower boats in Tanasia just looking around everywhere and never made a cast.

If it were me in your shoes and I had enough fish to last me for a while, I would go to the long rocks (or anywhere else you think). The reason being is because you already know where they’re at in Delacroix based off your last two successful trips. Why not go see where else they might be, figure out another pattern, and maybe learn something that gives you an edge over everyone else.

On the flip side, if you’re trying to put your buddies on some fish because they don’t get to fish that often, go lay down the hammer in Delacroix again and make it a trifecta of domination.

I love this idea too. Obviously would take some well in advance planning since most of us have families and whatnot I assume, but I think we could make it happen!

I’ve always thought that if we do a rodeo or “competition”, it should be somewhere that the majority of us don’t fish all too often. Somewhere like Cocodrie or something like that, that way it would be a level playing field for all and no one has an “advantage” so to speak.

Although I think we would all be competing for 3rd place behind @Devin and @will-grand . LOL.

“It is definitely a game of inches…….All of the little things definitely add up out there.“

Truer words have never been spoken. It makes a difference no doubt.

I did run through Lake John via the pipeline canal on my way over to Pointe Fienne. Not a soul in sight (which idc about and that wouldn’t affect whether or not I fish it), but what was most notable was the I kept feeling my lower unit bump the bottom while running on plane, so I mashed out to get through there. But I did see birds sitting on each side of the pipeline canal.
