When I fished stump lagoon last year the only place I hit anything was on the far west end where it goes into some other smaller lakes. I ran on plane for a lot of it.

Attached is the route I took a few times., idk about crooked bayou though.

Gotta love the perseverance! Pretty sure I would have thought “ maybe this is a sign I shouldn’t go” but gotta go to know!

Take my reply with a grain of salt, I’m not out there catching limits haha. But depending on the actual depth I would either drift the tide line with a jig head. If it’s deep and fast I may have to spot lock / anchor and use a heavy drop shot, or try to fish it towards the beginning or end of the tide when it’s not ripping. If I saw shrimp popping I may try a popping cork or lighter double rig to fish to upper water column.

Hopefully someone with more experience will give their input too.

Fuel injection or carb engine? Either way I would get a clear container and let fuel pump into the container to check the condition of the fuel and to see how much flow you have. Water will seperate to the bottom of the container. You should have a steady stream of fuel pumping out the line. Depending on whether you have a carb or efi would determine the procedure for checking.

Good to hear you were able put some in the box even with that much trouble.

I thought about this yesterday, “Man some of these spots might be kickass if only the tide was falling during the day, DUH fish the lights at night!”

In Loranger/ Independence. We lost power around 11 last night, few big trees down on power lines. Made it to work just fine this morning.

Been watching wind finder and before the storm it looked like the wind was going to lay down over the weekend, not terrible now, but not dead calm like I was seeing before.

So in regards to the leaving social media, are you still planning to keep your youtube channel or were you referring specifically to facebook, tiktok, and whatever else there is?

Definately will. The week prior the wind was forcast south west gusts to 20, so I had in my mind all week to forgore that. Once we got there it was slick calm at first so I definately could have fished there for a while at least, but wasn’t really thinking about the fact that there would be more water movement there in that moment. That does make sense though because last year about this time, I do remember seeing more shrimp when we hit up those lights.

Yeah, personally it doesn’t bother me. Not my cup of tea, but my mind set is usually “live and let live”.
