Hey Thomas. My name is Paul, a resident of Mandeville but keep my boat at Vinot’s Marina, next to Fork Pike. If your looking for a great marina to keep your boat, I can’t give enough accolades to Roy Vinot and his marina.
Anyway, I made the trip out to Chandeliers a year ago with my brother. We didn’t meet with a great deal of success but good to spend time with my “little brother”. My reason for this email is I too launched from Pass Christian in a 22′ NauticStar. I have an old 1994 Wildlife and Fisheries Marine Recreational Fishing Map that includes Lat & Long (30-02.90/88-52.30) for the Chandelier lighthouse that is no longer standing. I set that as my course and set out to run near Isle Aux Pitre then turned toward the islands. I had no trouble and had a lot of water to run until I got about a mile west of the above Lat and Long. Then I had to trim up to get closer and of course reduced speed.
Hope this helps and good luck. If memory serves me you should see the Islander rig on the horizon well before.
