Meh.
It was a strong finish, but the summer sucked. Most of the fall was okay. Spring was okay.
I was disappointed with the absence of slot reds. To run around PLH and see 10-20 all day is sad.
The trout are definitely stronger this year. Their show in Lake Pontchartrain is most welcome. You guys posted some great reports out of there. Same for Delacroix, Lafitte, etc. Really good show there in the year’s end.
So I am hoping for another low river, and that it gets low again and the trout have another great spawn. It’s taking some time to see them bounce back, but they are. The redfish will take longer since they take 4 times as long to reach maturity. We’ll get there. Things are looking up, lots of positivity.
