Yeah, they must’ve gotten on the wrong boat. Like, why didn’t they go to Minnesota or North Dakota where their other Nordic kin went? I just hate mosquitoes and hate having to spray for them. Like, all I want to do is enjoy my backyard, watch the sun rise, read a book, but no, the damn bugs are on me in December.
My family is from Indiana and when I was young we’d visit there. Man, no mosquitoes, just lightning bugs. In fact, there’s not much there to bite you. It’s not wet and moist all the time. Things last. Summers are bearable. lol
On another note, more people are Danish than they realize. Just by way of immigration in the 400s then the 800s to England.
I also visited Roskilde and Copenhagen in 2009. Great country. It’s like a giant HOA and everyone can follow the rules. Everything is clean, orderly and organized. Basically the polar opposite of Louisiana. LOL We’re glad to have you.
