The bridges tend to be better whenever you get a little bit of a warming trend. If its been pretty cold I focus more on the deeper holes on the south side of Hwy 1. I could be wrong here, but I believe a long time ago they attempted to farm redfish off of Hwy 1. You will notice some of the marsh looks like ponds. They dredged these ponds out really deep to help keep the redfish alive during extended periods of heat or a freeze. Some of these ponds are 40 plus feet deep. They will stack up with trout in these holes whenever it gets really cold. As well as the culverts heading up Hwy 1 towards Leeville can be very productive too.
