Agreed with Josh. No issues with the rigolettes route. The east side of the pen is fine too. usually 4 ft. Just keep an eye out for the random stickup.
The route along the south side of the Pen probably hugs the shore too closely. They had a big dredge out there doing some work and making a berm or something that made me have to go farther north that I usually have to go. Not far though. And it was well marked with some orange floats.
Bayou dupont is easy to navigate until you get to the area right before the polygon you drew and that entire polygon. I have gotten turned around and have run up on very shallow/silted in areas. I’m kind of a wimp, but I am avoiding that during the winter months when the water levels drop.
If I’m trying to get to Round Lake, I’ve gone through spoonbill bay. It’s a little farther and still has some pucker factor, but is a safer bet. Bay Geolette just to the south of Spoonbill is even shallower, especially entering it from the west.
