I had a McClain trailer for awhile. It was a good trailer and still needed maintenance like anything, but it didn’t use proprietary parts that are impossible to find. It used parts sourced from auto parts store, Boat Stuf, West Marine, etc. So that was nice. And the aluminum beams were thick and strong, though they did show stress fractures after ten years of hard use. I think that’s fair.
Yeah, think about how often you need to re-pack bearings and then consider how much pro bass anglers tow. So now they have axles that are more fitting for an automobile but on a trailer. I don’t remember the name of them, but that’s worth looking at for future purchase consideration.
Man, everything you’ve said about Magic Tilt makes me allergic to every consider buying one. lol
