Man, I hate to hear about the tough day in Delacroix. Did you only target trout?

What’s nuts is that I think you can catch some trout on the Trestles. I can’t explain why, other than after the last cold front we had we were catching them shallow in Delacroix under a cork, and a friend was catching them on the Trestles. It may have something to do with the prolonged warm fall. I really don’t know. It does look like you’ll have some decent tide for tomorrow. I wish you good luck out there. You may want to get to the south side of the Trestles first, but your cleanest water will be further north. Same for Hwy 11. In fact, with the falling tide, I would get out to the south side of Hwy 11 straight away. You’ll be racing everyone and their mom there. So leave early.

After that, the east side of Lake P could be good. Like in the open water. Diving birds are a dead giveaway. Or drift the crab traps you see there. That worked for me real well a couple years ago, just drifting with a popping cork.
